Schleifer, MD, PhD, Founder, President & CEO, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, a leading science-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers and manufactures medicines for serious medical conditions. Elizabeth Nabel, President of Brigham Health, sat down with Leonard who discussed the need for drug companies to focus more on research, and less on earnings. He added, “We don’t just say we want to do research. Research is our ethos.” Regeneron spends more than $1.5 billion annually on research and development. Founded in 1988, Regeneron’s total revenues in 2016 was $4.86 billion and has over 5,500 employees.
