McCarter & English is proud to be recognized as a 2026 Companies That Care Honoree in the Charitable Donations/Fundraising category by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey.
The Companies That Care Awards honor a diverse group of organizations that go above and beyond to support their communities through volunteerism and charitable giving. Honorees are recognized for making a meaningful impact across New Jersey, including efforts to address food insecurity, advance health programs, provide scholarships, and promote animal welfare.
McCarter & English was recognized in this category for the impact of its employee-led house band, Amperband. Over the past two years, through participation in Law Rocks, a friendly battle-of-the-bands competition that brings together legal professionals to raise funds for charity, Amperband has helped raise more than $50,000 for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, supporting families facing food insecurity across the region.
In addition to fundraising, McCarter & English attorneys and staff volunteer annually at the Community FoodBank’s Hillside facility, providing hands-on support where it is needed most. These efforts reflect a broader culture of service at the firm, one that encourages employees to use their talents, passions, and teamwork to make a meaningful impact.
“Every performance is a chance to make a difference,” said Alex Macdonald, Chief Strategy Officer and Amperband vocalist. Through a combination of creativity, collaboration, and community engagement, McCarter & English continues to demonstrate that giving back can be both impactful and inspiring.
