Greendyk reunites with former colleague Jason Navarino at McCarter
McCarter & English announced today that Hannah J. Greendyk has joined the firm as special counsel in its Corporate Practice Group. Greendyk was formerly with Riker Danzig where she worked closely with Jason Navarino, former chair of Riker Danzig’s Tax and Corporate practice groups, who recently joined McCarter as partner.
“Hannah meaningfully enhances our existing corporate and tax capabilities, particularly in the tax-conscious, middle-market M&A space and the nonprofit sector,” said Theodore Grannatt, Chair of McCarter’s Corporate Practice Group. “Her ability to deploy tax strategy into transactional work aligns with our burgeoning family office, client-focused approach, and we enthusiastically welcome her to the team.”
Her corporate practice brings significant experience in corporate and tax counseling, with a focus on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures; this includes the negotiation and preparation of stock and asset purchase agreements, with a strong emphasis on achieving tax-efficient outcomes for clients. She has a particular focus on the nonprofit space, where she advises tax-exempt organizations on their unique tax and corporate concerns.
“I’m thrilled to join McCarter and collaborate with such a talented and growing corporate group,” said Greendyk. “The firm’s platform and its commitment to delivering practical, business-oriented advice make it an ideal place to continue serving clients on sophisticated transactions and tax matters.” Greendyk earned her LLM in Taxation from the New York University School of Law, and her JD cum laude from the Seton Hall University School of Law. She earned her BA summa cum laude from Seton Hall University.
