David Grimaldi thinks he’ll restore his professional reputation by exposing his former boss, County Executive Thomas P. Gordon, as an ethically bankrupt liar — and he’s sitting on an arsenal of secretly recorded telephone conversations between him and his former father figure.
Ousted last year as chief administrative officer by Gordon, Grimaldi said the audio, including profanity-laced discussions with top officials about political, police and office issues during a two-year period, will give citizens a true picture of the county’s chief executive.
Gordon is represented by attorney Michael Kelly of McCarter & English.
