Mike Kelly, chair emeritus of McCarter, focuses on high-profile litigation in state and federal courts and for many years was the attorney for former boxing heavyweight champion “Smokin’ Joe” Frazier. He shares his workout routine in an exclusive Q&A with Law.com.
When asked about his workout routine, Mike said, “I am on the road quite often. I try to do 20 minutes of cardio on a stationary bike, followed by 25 minutes of circuit weight training. I do this at least two times per week. In addition, I try to walk for at least 30 minutes another twice a week. I count walking nine holes on a golf course as one of my walking workouts.”
He also shared the benefits of exercising regularly, saying, “[Exercise] clears my head, helps with weight control, and keeps me from looking like the Pillsbury Doughboy.” He added, “I am very fortunate to have survived a very aggressive cancer, stage 3b gallbladder cancer. I have no choice but to do my best to stay in shape.”
