Nearly every state and the federal government have taken regulatory action related to PFAS, and thousands of PFAS-related lawsuits are pending nationwide. Given the broad range of chemicals classified as PFAS, the significant costs associated with investigating and remediating PFAS contamination, and the evolving scientific research examining potential health impacts, regulatory scrutiny and litigation are expected to increase moving forward.
McCarter & English partner Ryan Richman joins speakers at the annual PFAS Regulation & Litigation Conference, presented by Law Seminars International. During the program, Ryan discusses the federal connections now required for federal officer removal following the US Supreme Court’s decision in Chevron v. Plaquemines Parish and examines key jurisdictional issues involving PFAS claims and aqueous film-forming foam.
