Vanessa Roberts Avery, McCarter & English partner and former US Attorney for Connecticut, delivered the keynote address at the University of Connecticut School of Law’s Black Law Students Association (BLSA) program honoring its 2026 graduating members.
During the program, Vanessa shared remarks encouraging graduates as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their legal careers. The event celebrated the graduating students’ achievements, recognized law school alumnus and a distinguished member of the faculty, and reflected on the importance of continued excellence within the legal profession.
