McCarter’s Venture Capital & Emerging Growth Companies Practice empowers clients throughout the development cycle—from ideation to creation, capitalization, implementation, commercialization and monetization.
We are proud of the great things our clients are doing and are pleased to share their successes. This month we would like to highlight recent media coverage and other good news about, and activities of, certain of our clients and friends. For example, Street Smarts VR CEO Oliver Noteware appeared on NBC’s video featuring Shark Tank judge Daymond John regarding Street Smart’s work building simulations for police-citizen interactions. Noteware was also a guest on Everything VR/AR, a highly rated VR podcast. Client Top Flight Technologies, Inc., which focuses on hybrid-electric unmanned aerial vehicle technologies, has entered into a strategic partnership with Hyundai Motor Company. We participated with client Hotshot in a Professional Development Consortium Webinar in November on digital learning for lawyers and the importance of industry specific and business specific training of lawyers to enhance client service and satisfaction. Hu-manity.co is mentioned in an NPR.org article regarding a system they are developing in which people can manage and monetize their own medical data. And client Trendalyze Inc. and Bitfury announced that they will integrate Bitfury’s Crystal blockchain analytics service into Trendalyze’s micro-trends analytics, monitoring, prediction and search platform.
We are also proud of our attorneys’ accomplishments. On November 29, Dave Sorin received NJ Tech Council’s Legend of Technology Award for his role in creating and promoting the tech ecosystem in New Jersey. NJ Tech Weekly posted Dave’s remarks here.
In addition, we stay on top of developments affecting the entrepreneurial community and keep you informed. For those in the emerging technology space, this alert by McCarter partner Zack Hadzismajlovic is a must read. The U.S. Bureau of Industry Security’s call for industry comments to help identify which emerging technologies are essential to U.S. National Security presents a singular opportunity for stakeholders to decide their industry’s fate. We strongly recommend that stakeholders in any of the representative technology categories listed in the alert submit a comment to BIS as to whether the technology is “essential to the national security of the United States.”
