McCarter & English is pleased to announce that Will Coronato has been elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a nationwide organization of skilled practicing trial lawyers dedicated to protecting and preserving the American civil jury system. Membership in this invitation-only organization requires significant jury trial experience and achievements, and therefore carries considerable prestige among members of the bench and bar.
A first-chair trial lawyer, Will focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis on products liability and commercial disputes. His well-established track record of successfully trying cases and winning appeals in state and federal courts includes a number of high-stakes wins, including a recent federal jury trial victory on behalf of Pfizer and Wyeth Pharmaceutical in litigation alleging a prescription diet drug caused primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH), an often fatal lung disease. The verdict, which was the first ever defense verdict in a fen-phen PPH case where the jury considered both liability and causation issues simultaneously, was recognized by Legal Media Group Science Awards as their 2015 Product Liability Impact Case of the Year.
Will is a partner in McCarter’s nationally recognized Products Liability, Mass Torts and Consumer Class Actions practice group; Chambers USA has ranked McCarter as the sole Band 1 Product Liability Practice in New Jersey each year since 2015.
