McCarter & English partner Wyley Proctor has been selected to receive the 2026 Mary K. Ryan Achievement in Pro Bono Award from the Boston Bar Association (BBA).
Wyley will be recognized at the BBA’s annual Spirit of the Bar meeting for her more than two decades of dedicated pro bono service and commitment to expanding access to justice for survivors of domestic violence. Throughout her career, she has advanced significant pro bono litigation and advocacy efforts while maintaining a thriving intellectual property practice.
In 2016, Wyley founded the firm’s Massachusetts Restraining Order Project and has continued to lead and expand the initiative. The program connects survivors of domestic violence with legal representation during critical moments as they navigate the court system. Through partnerships with organizations including the Women’s Bar Foundation, Northeast Legal Aid, and Journey to Safety, Wyley has helped establish a reliable referral network for those seeking assistance. She is also working to expand the program’s reach through additional collaborations with the Volunteer Lawyers Project and Greater Boston Legal Services.
