Global insurance broker—Third Circuit appeal

Represented a global insurance broker in a multi-million dollar lender-placed insurance class action in federal court. Obtained the dismissal of the class action before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey on the grounds that the filed-rate doctrine barred the plaintiffs’ claims. On appeal, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit affirmed the trial court’s ruling by a unanimous published decision.
