Allyson Emley focuses her practice on defending pharmaceutical and medical device companies in complex, multi-district litigation, with a concentration on medical and scientific components. Her experience also includes defending medical providers, physician groups, and hospitals in medical malpractice claims, and representing businesses and business owners in pursuing and defending shareholder disputes.
Before going into private practice, Allyson worked for the Indiana State Department of Health as a staff attorney where she handled administrative and civil litigation for the Divisions of Acute Care, Long-Term Care, Environmental Public Health, HIV Medical Services, and Children with Special Needs Health Care Services. Allyson assisted with litigation relating to the certification of Certified Nurse Aides and Home Health Aides. In this work, she engaged in statutory interpretation regarding agency compliance, and oversaw administrative rules through the promulgation process.
