J. Christopher Amrhein, Jr. represents clients across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies in complex product liability matters. Chris is active in both state and federal courts in jurisdictions across the United States. Chris has extensive experience taking and defending depositions, writing briefs, arguing motions, and handling all facets of discovery.
Prior to joining McCarter & English, Chris worked at a litigation firm in Boston, MA, representing clients in high-stakes commercial litigation matters at the state and federal levels.
Chris is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and Cornell University. At Suffolk, Chris was a member of the school’s National Trial Team, and was also a finalist in the school’s McLaughlin Appellate Advocacy Competition. After his second year, Chris served as a law clerk for the National Football League (NFL) Management Council, which supports all of the NFL’s entities by providing legal counsel on a range of issues including employment and labor relations matters and litigation management. At Cornell, Chris was a Quarterback on the Varsity Football team. After finishing his collegiate football career, Chris participated in training camp for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
