Jacob (Jack) Alexander focuses his intellectual property practice on U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, counseling, opinions and IP litigation in the fields of mechanical systems and devices, manufacturing processes and computer software. Jack received his undergraduate degree in engineering physics with a concentration in mechanical engineering. His engineering background and technical knowledge support his strategies for developing patent portfolios in a broad range of industries, including medical devices, water filtration technology, and AI and block chain software. He works with clients ranging from individual inventors and small businesses to public universities and international companies reviewing patent office actions, preparing independent and dependent claims, proposed amendments, non-obvious/novelty analysis, and remarks to objections.
Jack is also experienced in prosecuting U.S. trademarks, negotiating coexistence/consent agreements and handling trademark infringement matters and disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
