Joshua Friedman is an intellectual property lawyer experienced in patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate analyses, patentability and landscape analyses, IP due diligence, and pre-litigation opinions. He also has experience with patent litigation and post-grant proceedings. Drawing on his background as a mechanical engineer, Joshua prepares and prosecutes US and international patent applications and provides strategic portfolio management for clients in the aerospace, transportation, medical device, mechanical device, and consumer product industries.
Prior to joining McCarter, Joshua practiced patent prosecution and litigation in the New York office of a large international law firm. He previously worked as a mechanical engineer for a defense contractor, where he designed mechanical components and interfaces for rugged panel PCs and displays used in military vehicles.
