Mason Lang focuses his practice on US and foreign patent preparation and prosecution across a range of mechanical, electromechanical, and medical device technologies. A biomedical engineer, Mason prepares patent applications for entry into the United States as national stage applications under 35 U.S.C. § 371 and prepares US applications based on foreign priority filings for submission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He develops and drafts responses to US Office Actions and formulates strategies for responding to foreign office actions.
In addition, Mason develops strategies for novelty searches in the fields of consumer products, robotics, controls, automation, fluid mechanics, aerospace, and defense.
Prior to joining McCarter, Mason served as a Biomedical Engineering Intern at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he supported the preventive maintenance and inspection of hospital biomedical equipment and assisted biotechnicians in addressing device performance issues in active clinical environments.
