Matthew Ventricelli advises clients on intellectual property matters, including trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, and litigates patent and trademark cases in both federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. His practice also includes counseling clients on sports-related intellectual property matters, including name, image, and likeness (NIL) and NCAA compliance issues.
In addition to his intellectual property work, Matthew handles a range of complex litigation matters, including product liability disputes. He is dedicated to pro bono efforts, assisting individuals with Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) sealing petitions and representing survivors of domestic violence to obtain abuse prevention restraining orders.
Matthew received his JD, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While in law school, he served as President of the Student Bar Association and was actively involved in advocacy and alternate dispute resolution with the Society for Dispute Resolution, winning the Regional ABA Negotiation Competition, and being named a finalist in the Regional ABA Client Counseling Competition. Matthew is a member of the Boston Bar Association New Lawyers Network Committee.
