Dr. Miao Yu focuses her practice on patent preparation and prosecution in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Her technical areas of expertise include biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and chemical biology. Miao has also assisted in IP due diligence, freedom-to-operate, patentability, and IP landscape analysis.
Maio received her PhD in Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where her dissertation focused on the use of chemical biology as a tool to study the structure and mechanism of the high-density lipoprotein (HDL) receptor. She has published her work in leading peer-reviewed journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
