Nicole Virella Almanzar focuses her practice on the defense of employers in employment-related disputes such as discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. Nicole also assists in counseling employers on compliance issues, both on a federal and state level, and drafting employee handbooks, human resources policies, and employment-related agreements.
Before joining McCarter, Nicole was an associate at midsized firm in New York where she defended industry groups, including corporations, commercial entities and insurance companies in commercial disputes and litigation matters.
During law school, she volunteered as a mentor for the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey’s American Dream Pipeline Program. Nicole also volunteered as a teacher for Street Law, where she taught students in local Newark high schools about the law and government.
