Patricia Malley focuses on helping transfer wealth to her clients’ next generation via comprehensive gifting strategies and legal avenues while minimizing taxes, providing protection against creditors, and preserving assets. She also assists clients in managing the administrative details and legal transactions involved.
Patricia takes time to fully connect with clients, understanding their concerns and working with their financial team to develop an estate plan that encompasses their goals. She strives to treat each client with prioritized, individualized attention and ensure that they feel secure by discussing the various estate plan aspects and providing them with options that will accomplish their objectives.
Her work often involves clients’ anticipating the passing of a loved one and preparing them for the financial effect on the family. “I understand the emotional difficulty of dealing with death,” she says. “I try to provide as much support as possible and minimize any burden a client might feel when administering an estate or trust. That means working directly with the applicable financial institutions, CPAs, etc., to obtain the information needed for estate tax returns, ensuring income tax returns are prepared, and assets are transferred in compliance with a decedent’s estate plan.”
Patricia recognizes that no estate plan is the same and counsels clients in developing estate plans personalized to meet their unique circumstances.
Patricia has served as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School. She has been a coach for Special Olympics and is a Boston Marathon alum.
