Dr. Prisca Obi focuses her practice on US and foreign patent preparation and prosecution in the field of life sciences and largely concerning immunology, molecular and cellular biology, and biochemistry.
Prior to joining the firm, Prisca earned her PhD in Immunology from Yale University. Her dissertation research focused on the study of RNA viruses and the use of next-generation sequencing to discover novel viral transcripts. She previously earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University, where she conducted research in the field of cancer immunotherapy focused on checkpoint blockade therapy. Prisca’s experience includes consulting for a Yale-affiliated therapeutics start-up, supporting both business and scientific initiatives aimed at developing a novel small molecule therapy for a rare neurodegenerative disease.
