Robert Picciano focuses his practice in trust and estate law, including estate planning, administration, and related litigation. He advises clients on wills, advance directives, and healthcare proxies, and represents clients in contested trust and estate matters, including will contests, disputes of trusts and gifts, and claims involving breach of fiduciary duty. Rob also has experience drafting pleadings, briefs, and other litigation materials, and has advocated for clients in federal district and appellate courts.
Rob earned his JD from Seton Hall University School of Law, summa cum laude, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He was a student attorney in the Impact Litigation Clinic, a Comments Editor for the Seton Hall Law Review, and the recipient of The Honorable Harold A. Ackerman Fellowship. He received his MA from the University of Southern California, where he published “Stan Brakhage the Realm Buster” in the Journal of Visual Culture and was Vice President of Graduate Student Government. Prior to joining McCarter, Rob was an associate at a leading global law firm.
