Ronald Brown practices on patent-related matters, primarily litigation, interferences, and prosecution in a wide range of fields. These include software and business methods, as well as various mechanical and electronic devices, among them medical instruments, storage and transportation of integrated circuits, reclosable packaging and gamma ray spectroscopy.

Ron also has an extensive background in computer science. Early in his career, he worked for Combustion Engineering, first in the Advanced Design Project Group of the Physics and Computer Analysis Department and then in the Software Design Group of the Instrumentation and Control Engineering Department.
