Sheila Kles has functioned in a variety of roles in public finance, as tax counsel, bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, issuer’s counsel and disclosure counsel in transactions involving general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, qualified 501(c)(3) bonds, exempt facility bonds, small issuer bonds, pooled bond programs, student loan bonds, multifamily housing bonds, and transactions involving EB-5 financing.

Sheila’s experience includes structuring complex transactions, assisting in the determination of arbitrage and rebate, and instructing issuers in post-issuance compliance and IRS and SEC reporting requirements.

Sheila is versed in negotiating various derivatives including swaps and forward transactions occurring in conjunction with exempt transactions and independently of such transactions.

In addition, Sheila structured the original Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund.

A graduate of The Juilliard School, Sheila was a professional violinist performing with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra prior to embarking on her career as an attorney.
