Snigdha Mamillapalli focuses her practice on a broad range of complex civil and commercial litigation, representing public and private companies in US state and federal courts. Her practice involves high-stakes business disputes at all stages of litigation, including sophisticated commercial contract disputes, unfair competition matters, partnership disputes, trade secret claims, trademark misappropriation matters, and complex commercial lease disputes. Snigdha represents companies across a broad range of industries including financial services, life sciences, industrial chemicals, manufacturing, healthcare, and defense contracting.
Snigdha has significant experience analyzing complex procedural issues and developing litigation strategy, including jurisdictional and venue issues, conflict of laws, sophisticated discovery disputes concerning large-scale e-discovery, depositions, motion drafting, settlement and mediation, witness preparation, and comprehensive trial preparation. Snigdha’s litigation practice extends through to her appellate work in both state appellate courts and federal circuit courts, where she analyzes trial issues for appeal, drafts appellate briefs, and appears for oral argument.
In addition to her litigation practice, Snigdha advises corporate clients on regulatory compliance, internal investigations, and risk management. She has represented companies through all stages of SEC investigations for violations of federal securities laws, and has conducted internal compliance reviews related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), helping public companies navigate sensitive issues with strategic, business-oriented solutions.
Snigdha is committed to pro bono service and regularly represents low-income tenants in disputes with their landlords, helping to secure housing stability and enforce tenants’ rights throughout Connecticut. She has successfully defended against residential evictions, failure to return security deposits, and civil claims for back rent, and has addressed claims of inhabitability. Snigdha also represents children impacted by negligence proceedings initiated by the Department of Children & Families through all stages of the proceeding, including parental supervision and termination of parental rights.
Prior to her career as a trial attorney, Snigdha worked in-house in the information technology sector, where she supported enterprise-level systems and collaborated with cross-functional teams at one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers. Her background in technology, including information management systems, gives her valuable insight into the operational challenges and regulatory risks faced by modern businesses.
Outside of the law, Snigdha enjoys exploring new countries, hiking national parks, and staying actively involved in her local community.
