The Pentagon has awarded its controversial $10 billion cloud-computing business to Microsoft, snubbing a bid from Amazon. If Amazon decides to fight the DoD’s decision, it could act as early as next week by going to the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) or the US Court of Federal Claims.
Reuters spoke to McCarter partner Franklin Turner, who offered insights on this critical development. He said that if Amazon goes to the GAO, it can get an “automatic stay of performance,” which gives the GAO 100 days to make a decision.
