In partnership with the New Jersey State Bar Association In-House Counsel Committee, McCarter & English is proud to support the 2026 Corporate Counsel Institute, a program that brings together experienced in-house leaders and outside counsel to share practical strategies for strengthening legal teams and addressing the evolving demands on corporate legal departments. Featuring discussions and real-world case studies, the program offers guidance on moving outside counsel relationships from routine engagements to meaningful strategic partnerships.
McCarter partner Sherilyn Pastor moderates a panel entitled “Can We Talk? What In-House Lawyers and Outside Counsel Would Like Each Other to Know,” which will include the Firm’s Ron Leibman and other in-house and outside practitioners who will explore expectations and priorities, best practices for responsiveness, managing expectations, and practical approaches to aligning outside counsel with corporate goals.
