Almost all political committees participating in the general election in New Jersey are required to report contributions and expenditures promptly, beginning 13 days before the election, to the Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC). These pre-election disclosures must be filed within 72 or 24 hours, depending on the timing of the occurrence, and must include all receipts or expenses exceeding $300 in value. If you have questions about ELEC reporting obligations, contact Stephanie Olivo.
