Urban Outfitters on Wednesday asked a Pennsylvania state court judge to reconsider parts of a largely favorable May decision in a dispute with its insurers over coverage for two copyright infringement suits, saying it should not be forced to add retailers as defendants.
While Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Patricia McInerney dismissed the bulk of insurers Lamorak Insurance Co. and Hanover Insurance Co.’s preliminary objections, the retailer and clothing manufacturer contended that she erred in concluding that the retailers who sold a dress designed by the company belonged in the suit.
Urban Outfitters is represented by Danielle Karcich, Sherilyn Pastor and Adam Budesheim of McCarter & English LLP.
