PHILADELPHIA—Prominent insurance publication Business Insurance has named Joann Lytle, an insurance coverage Partner in McCarter & English’s Philadelphia office, one of its Women to Watch for 2014. The annual feature, aimed at highlighting the most influential and inspiring women in the field and encouraging the achievements and further success of women in this largely male-dominated industry, recognizes 25 women leaders doing outstanding insurance-related work in risk and benefits management, commercial insurance, consulting, the law, and other fields.
Lytle represents corporate policyholders in insurance coverage disputes and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance assets for a wide range of companies in the manufacturing, food services, health care, banking and natural resources industries—among many others. She has handled disputes involving numerous lines of coverage, including commercial general liability, umbrella/excess liability, errors and omissions liability, directors and officers liability, cyber liability, and employment practices liability policies, representing policyholders in litigation, arbitration and mediation and providing insurance coverage advice and counseling to her clients on an ongoing basis.
Nominations for the Women to Watch were drawn from Business Insurance’s readership, industry insiders, and nominee clients. A panel of the magazine’s senior editors selected the final 25 women based on the winners’ recent professional achievements, influence on the insurance and business marketplace, and contributions to the advancement of women in business. Recognition on the list is especially impressive given that it includes women from across all insurance-related fields, not only insurance law, and is open to women leaders worldwide who are connected to the commercial insurance industry.
The magazine will publish a special report with profiles of all the honorees in its December 8th issue and recognize the honorees at its annual Women to Watch Leadership Workshop and Awards Luncheon in New York on December 9th.
