McCarter & English has strengthened its Environment & Energy Practice Group with the addition of Anree G. Little as special counsel in Washington, DC. Anree brings extensive experience representing municipal utilities, public-power entities, state regulators, transmission customers and other energy-sector clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), state utility commissions and federal appellate courts. His practice focuses on electric transmission and distribution, organized electricity markets, wholesale power transactions, interstate natural gas regulation, utility M&A, administrative litigation and appeals.
Anree previously served as an intern and extern with the FERC’s Office of Administrative Litigation, the U.S. Department of Energy and the Nuclear Energy Institute. His energy practice is further informed by his technical background in nuclear engineering and applied physics and his prior service as a U.S. Navy Engineering Duty Officer and Nuclear Submarine Officer.
