McCarter & English, LLP announces the promotion of two associates to special counsel: Kelly E. Brennan and Timothy William Salter. Kelly, a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, works in the firm’s Newark office; Tim, a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Litigation Practice Group, works in the firm’s New York office. Both represent clients in the financial services industry—Kelly in financing and other transactions and Tim in foreclosure and consumer financial services litigation.

Kelly E. Brennan—Real Estate, Newark, NJ—Kelly guides clients through complex real estate transactions, representing them in financing, acquisitions and dispositions, and land use and zoning matters. She assists clients in securing many types of commercial real estate lending, including permanent and interim financing and construction financing; negotiates purchase and sale agreements; and obtains planning board and zoning board of adjustment approvals for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
Timothy William Salter—Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Litigation, New York, NY—Tim represents clients in the consumer finance and real estate sectors in complex litigation. He has significant experience representing financial institutions, loan servicers, and similar stakeholders in foreclosure, title curative, and consumer protection litigation, as well as in disputes arising under the US Bankruptcy Code. Tim also counsels clients on issues pertaining to mortgage loan servicing and compliance.
