McCarter & English is pleased to announce the elevation of two attorneys to partner, effective April 1. The newly elevated partners are Geoffrey Lynott and Ryan Savercool.

The new partners are:
Geoffrey Lynott, based in the firm’s Newark office, is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Litigation group. He litigates complex commercial matters covering a broad range of issues at both the state and federal level, particularly in bankruptcy court, and in various alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediations and arbitrations. His experience includes handling commercial lease disputes, shareholder disputes, insurance coverage litigation, bankruptcy litigation, and other types of contract and business-tort litigation. Active in supporting pro bono efforts, Geoff represents US Veterans in matters before the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims as well as the Federal Circuit involving access to benefits and other issues.
Ryan Savercool, also based in Newark, is a member of the firm’s Products Liability, Mass Torts, and Consumer Class Actions group. He defends manufacturers of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer products in high-stakes product liability, mass tort, environmental, and consumer fraud matters. Ryan’s experience includes defending clients in litigation commenced by state attorney generals, as well as class actions and multidistrict litigations. He maintains an active appellate practice and is often called upon to draft motions and briefs on issues of first impression and national importance.
