• Elizabeth (Betsy) Shieh
Ms. Shieh is Principal Commercial Officer of the U.S. Commercial Service in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and has served there since the summer of 2015. Her office focuses on developing sales opportunities for U.S. companies selling the products and services that serve the infrastructure needs of Vietnam’s aviation, energy, healthcare, and ICT needs.
Prior to Vietnam, Betsy served three consecutive tours in Beijing, China, primarily covering environmental technologies and energy. Betsy started her Foreign Service career in 2005 when she served a two year term in the Westchester, New York Export Assistance Center.
Prior to joining the Commercial Service, she was the Executive Director of NEXCO, a private, non-profit international business association in New York City. Betsy has served as Executive Director of the Hudson Valley World Trade Center and as product manager at XPORT, the Port Authority of NY and NJ’s trading company.
Betsy has a Master’s Degree in International Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages, both from New York University.
