McCarter & English today announced that veteran trial lawyer and strategic advisor Mark Salah Morgan has joined the firm’s Business Litigation group as a partner in its Newark office. Morgan brings more than two decades of experience representing businesses, executives, family offices, trustees, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals in complex commercial litigation and other high-stakes disputes. He joins McCarter from Day Pitney, where he was a partner, served on the firm’s Executive Board, and was Vice Chair of its Litigation Department.
Morgan has built a sophisticated practice advising clients on their most significant legal and business challenges. Serving as outside general counsel and strategic advisor, he counsels clients through complex litigation, governance issues, business succession, fiduciary disputes, and the multifaceted issues that accompany substantial private wealth. His experience further strengthens McCarter’s capabilities at the intersection of business litigation, private client services, trusts and estates, and corporate counseling.

Morgan has represented clients across the healthcare, financial services, media, energy, and technology sectors in complex commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, restrictive covenant matters, securities litigation, class actions, government investigations, and white collar matters. He has served as lead trial counsel in high-stakes cases, securing significant jury verdicts and arbitration awards in state and federal courts throughout New Jersey and New York.
Morgan also advises clients with business interests spanning Egypt, North Africa, and the Middle East on U.S. investments, commercial matters, and cross-border legal issues. In addition, he maintains a focused practice representing investors and stakeholders in professional sports franchise opportunities and related transactions.

Morgan received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law–Camden and his B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College.
