On behalf of the New Jersey State Bar Association McCarter lawyers David Kott, William Reilly and Christopher Rojao co-authored a New Jersey Appellate Division Amicus Curiae brief on choice of law on the statute of limitations in a legal malpractice case. The issue is of importance to NJ licensed attorneys practicing in other states that have a shorter time period to file claims of legal malpractice. NJ attorneys would be placed in the unfair position, of being liable for the six years under NJ state law, instead of being held to the time period of the state where the case was tried.
