Michael Puzyk speaks with Bloomberg Tax to discuss the new pilot program the New Jersey Division of Taxation will be launching in the fall that will allow taxpayers to settle controversies involving the corporate business tax and sales and use tax through mediation. Puzyk says, “The purpose of this is to allow for more of a cooperative approach for resolving tax disputes, similar to what some other states already have in place,” and continues, “mediation allows taxpayers to come to an agreement that is confidential, without facing the expense of court proceedings.”
