The New Jersey Supreme Court rendered an opinion in Maia et al. v. IEW Construction Group on May 15, 2024 adopting McCarter’s position that certain amendments to the New Jersey Wage and Hour Act were not retroactive. McCarter partner Thomas Doherty presented oral argument on behalf of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association. David Kott handled the briefs.
