Partners Sheri Pastor and Jennifer Farina serve as panelists at the 2026 Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE Seminar, hosted by the ABA Litigation Section, presenting on key developments in insurance coverage law.
On March 5, Sheri will speak on a panel, “No Safe Harbor Here—Keep Rowing!: Recent Developments in First-Party Bad Faith and the Risks of Disputed Value of Damaged or Destroyed Property,” which examines how valuation disputes over damaged or destroyed property are increasingly giving rise to bad faith exposure. The program will address the strategic use and limits of expert opinions, and offer practical guidance for investigating, documenting, and resolving contested first-party claims.
On the same day, Jennifer will present in “Deja Sued: Coverage Pitfalls and Possibilities for Related Claims Under Claims-Made Liability Policies,” which explores how notoriously nebulous “related claims” provisions affect coverage by treating multiple matters as a single claim deemed made in an earlier policy period. The panelists will highlight recent judicial trends and the strategic implications for insurers and policyholders.
