Sherilyn Pastor and Jennifer Farina are speaking at the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC) 2026 Annual Insurance Law Symposium on November 6, 2026.
Sherilyn, former ACCC President, moderates “Insurance Lawyers – What Do They Really Do and Can It Be Your Legal Career, Too?” The session explores the critical role insurance lawyers play in advising clients, resolving claims and disputes, and navigating complex coverage issues. Panelists also discuss the diverse career paths available within the insurance industry and offer perspectives on the day-to-day realities of insurance practice. The program will offer the views of Georgia Court of Appeals Judge Brian K. Epps, Fulton County State Court Judge Wesley B. Tailor, and AXA XL’s Cyber Claims Manager Shehla Qureshi.
Later that day, Jennifer speaks on “Trusts, Bankruptcies, and State Receiverships Present Complex and Evolving Challenges in Insurance Coverage Law.” The program examines emerging issues at the intersection of insolvency proceedings, fiduciary obligations, and insurance coverage, including entitlement to policy proceeds, control of the defense, settlement authority, and competing stakeholder interests. Panelists also provide practical guidance for policyholders and insurers navigating high-stakes coverage disputes.
The ACCC Annual Insurance Law Symposium brings together leading practitioners, judges, and industry professionals to discuss developments, challenges, and emerging trends shaping insurance law.
