Private Property Owner—FEMA regulations and governmental regulations

Represented a private landowner in a complex constitutional dispute with a Florida county involving the county’s failure to submit a timely notice of appeal from our client. We filed a complaint for a writ of mandamus, requesting that our client’s procedural due process right to be heard. The writ of mandamus involved intricate constitutional, statutory, and county code analysis. The court granted the writ and ordered the defendant to submit our client’s notice of  appeal.
