State agency—Medicaid litigation

Served as counsel under a special appointment to represent and defend a state’s Medicaid agency against protest litigation concerning the multibillion-dollar reprocurement of its Medicaid managed care contracts. We advised the state’s Medicaid agency on all aspects of the administrative protest and state court litigation. Our team defeated the protestor’s efforts to preliminarily enjoin the state’s implementation efforts, and ultimately obtained a complete victory after the protest suit was dismissed with prejudice prior to trial, allowing the agency to implement its new Medicaid managed care contracts without delay.
