Bhanuka Mahabamunuge represents businesses and individuals in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters in Connecticut and New York State courts. He has litigated claims involving commercial and residential real estate disputes, construction disputes, breach of contracts, and shareholder oppression. He also represents lenders, loan servicers, and other financial institutions in consumer finance litigations as well as complex real property matters, including fraud. Bhanuka’s extensive experience handling matters from inception to disposition allows him to appropriately guide and advise clients efficiently and effectively during the pendency of the litigation life cycle to achieve the most optimal outcomes for his clients.
Prior to working in private practice, Bhanuka was an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York’s Administration for Children’s Services, where he gained extensive trial experience first chairing numerous matters on behalf of the City.
