Bhanuka Mahabamunuge concentrates his practice in complex bankruptcy–related and commercial litigation, including commercial and residential mortgage foreclosures and real estate disputes. This work includes representing lenders, loan servicers, and other financial institutions in foreclosure actions and consumer finance litigation as well as title insurers in complex real property matters.
Bhanuka’s commercial litigation experience includes handling professional malpractice disputes, negligence and wrongful death suits, and product liability matters. Prior to working in private practice, Bhanuka was an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York’s Administration for Children’s Services, where he litigated numerous matters on behalf of the city, including arguing before New York’s Appellate Division, First Department.
