Daniela Calabro Gallagher handles federal and state tax matters regarding mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings as well as state and federal tax controversies. Daniela has experience representing clients in business planning and general corporate matters across numerous industries. She also assists in the formation of tax-exempt and nonprofit organizations and in their related tax exemption matters. In the tax controversy space, Daniela has filed claims for refund and achieved a number of penalty abatement requests on the federal and state levels. She is also involved in helping individuals and families with their estate planning needs.
Daniela is dedicated to giving back to the community and is actively involved in pro bono work. She uses her tax and corporate knowledge to assist individuals and businesses with their legal needs including business formation and corporate governance. Daniela is also involved in the firm’s Transgender Name Change Project and Pro Bono Housing Project.
Daniela attended Fordham University School of Law, during which time she participated in a Federal Tax Clinic for Lincoln Square Legal Services, Inc. and interned for PwC, where she maintained the firm’s International Tax View database that provided analysis and news regarding foreign countries’ tax laws.
