Jessica Macarone is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group. She routinely represents lenders, banking institutions and special servicers with respect to creditor rights, asset recovery and commercial litigation. Specifically, she has represented creditors in a number of state and federal court matters in New Jersey and New York, including commercial mortgage foreclosure and receivership actions, actions in connection with defaulted commercial loans, lien priority and loan policy coverage disputes, actions for breach of contract and bankruptcy matters. She also has extensive experience with loan workouts and forbearance agreements.
Jessica’s prior experience includes complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts ranging from two-party disputes to multi-party, multi-district litigation involving sales and marketing practices, consumer fraud, and securities law issues.
She has been responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of large electronic discovery projects concerning various subject matters in response to regulatory inquiries such as those made by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and state regulatory departments. She has a hands-on understanding of all facets of e-discovery including data retention and preservation, ESI harvesting strategy and negotiations, substantive review protocol preparation and implementation, reviewer training and supervision, production, and post-production matters.
Jessica is involved in McCarter & English’s pro bono efforts, including asylum, derivative asylum, and collection actions and continues to act as a mentor to Rutgers University students considering legal careers.
