Joseph Boccia focuses his practice on a broad range of complex civil and commercial litigation matters. His experience includes matters related to trust and estate administration, construction contracting and litigation, contract disputes, partnership and business disputes, business torts, real estate transactions, personal injury defense, employment discrimination, and corporate litigation. Joe is active in state and federal courts, and his experience includes both trial and appellate work. He is also experienced in arbitration and mediation proceedings and is active in the Connecticut Probate Courts. Joe has handled matters involving claims of fraud, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duties, breach of contract, violations of the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (“CUTPA”) and violations of the Connecticut Unfair Insurance Practices Act (“CUIPA”). Further, he has served as the lead associate in successfully dismissing claims against multiple business entities involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination, equitable accounting, and preliminary and permanent injunctions.
Prior to joining McCarter, Joe worked at New Haven-based firm practicing civil and business litigation. He graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2017 where he served as the Research & Symposium Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review. While in law school, he was also the Moot Court Society President and Vice President of the Employment Law Society. He was an active member of Quinnipiac’s Mock Trial Society, winning the Best Overall Advocate Award the National Trial Competition’s Northeast Region and later winning the Regional Tournament.
