Sam has significant experience defending a wide range of clients in state and federal courts, including manufacturers and vendors of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, consumer electronics, industrial machinery, and construction equipment. Sam’s litigation experience includes defending clients in single-plaintiff actions as well as in multidistrict litigations (MDL) and other consolidated actions. Sam is also experienced in defending high-exposure personal injury, premises liability, dram-shop, wrongful death, and construction defect matters.
In addition to his litigation practice, Sam regularly counsels medical device, industrial, and consumer product manufacturers regarding product liability litigation avoidance and general risk mitigation by advising companies with respect to regulatory requirements, product warnings, instructions, and labeling, as well as claims in marketing and promotional materials. Sam also has experience advising small and mid-size companies with respect to their regulatory and compliance obligations including dealings with the FDA, FTC, CPSC, and other agencies. Sam also maintains an active pro bono practice, and has been an advocate for veterans, individuals facing housing displacement, and first responders.
For over a decade, Sam has been active in New Jersey volunteer EMS, serving as an instructor and training officer to new EMTs and providing pro bono legal services to a volunteer ambulance service in his community.
