Larry Sannicandro, who will be based out of McCarter & English’s Newark headquarters, rejoined the firm on May 3.
“McCarter’s support of my entrepreneurial spirit was a large part of my decision to return,” Sannicandro said, adding that he will be spearheading tax controversy issues for the firm, which he believes will allow him “to build a broader platform with which to service my clients’ legal and business needs.”
With a practice spanning a range of civil and criminal tax controversies — from audits and investigations to litigation in the U.S. Tax Court, as well federal district and appellate courts and state tax tribunals — Sannicandro is confident he will be a benefit to McCarter & English’s clients in his new role. He also served as an estate and gift tax attorney for the IRS.
