Hourly Law Clerk, Patent

McCarter & English, LLP is currently looking for second or third year law students who have an interest in working part-time in our Newark, NJ office and who would like to pursue a career in patent law.  The ideal candidate would have an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, a desire to take the U.S. Patent Bar examination, and an interest in learning patent prosecution (with an eventual goal of becoming a registered patent attorney and practicing patent law).  Strong writing skills and an interest in learning how to protect technology via patents and other forms of intellectual property are preferred.  If interested, please submit a resume, a writing sample, and a current transcript to Christine Lydon at recruiting@mccarter.com  for consideration.
