Represented a mortgage company in a case involving fraud in Maryland district court where a fraudster bamboozled an investor by buying properties but then titling said properties in the fraudster’s own name. The investor sued to recover the properties, and to void the client’s mortgage. The company tendered suit to its mortgage title insurer, which denied, relying on its fraud exclusion. Without discovery the Court granted our motion for partial summary judgment on the duty to defend, and awarded fees.
